Meet Susan

The Only Experienced Candidate

Susan is the only candidate for Secretary of State who actually has experience doing the job, overseeing elections and protecting the voting rights of Arkansas.

She has done it for 20 years, serving as Director of Elections for former Secretary of State Sharon Priest and as the Pulaski County Election Director. Before that, she served as the Supervisor of the Civil/Criminal Division of the Pulaski County Circuit Clerk’s Office. Susan has served as both a county election commissioner and a state election commissioner and has more than 25 years of experience in state and county government.

Democratic Woman Of The Year

Susan was recently named the 2017 Gressie Carnes Democratic Woman of the Year by the Democratic Party of Arkansas. She received the 2004 Public Servant of the Year Award from the Arkansas Disability Coalition and is a graduate of Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XVIII.

International Elections Monitor

Recognizing her knowledge and experience, the U.S. Department of State has appointed Susan to monitor and observe more than a dozen elections in Eastern Europe and Central Asia over the last 15 years.

A native Arkansan, Susan lives in Little Rock. She was married to the late George Inman, Sr., and has two sons, George and William, and three grandsons.

Susan Inman monitored and observed more than a dozen elections in Eastern Europe and Central Asia over the last 15 year as appointee of the U.S State Department. These photos are from her work protecting voting rights in other countries.
